AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) -Jeremy Chappell had 20 points and 10 rebounds Saturday to lead Robert Morris to a 73-60 victory over Central Michigan Saturday at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
Chappell missed last season's loss to the Chippewas because of an academic suspension, but his double-double helped Robert Morris (6-5) post its first win after three straight losses to Central Michigan.
Marcus Van led the Chippewas (3-7) with 21 points.
The Colonials led 41-33 at the half, outshooting Central Michigan 72 percent-46 percent. Only Van's 12 first-half points kept the Chippewas in the game.
The game was the first half of a doubleheader with Oakland-Michigan as the nightcap.
