ITTA BENA, Miss. (AP) -Nicchaeus Doaks scored 21 points, grabbed six rebounds and blocked three shots to lead Chattanooga to a 65-61 win over Mississippi Valley State on Saturday night.
After playing to a 32-32 tie at halftime, the Mocs (2-7) shot 55.6 percent from the field (10 of 18) and were 3 of 6 from 3-point range in the second half.
Stephen McDowell added 19 points for Chattanooga, Ty Patterson scored 14 and Khalil Hartwell contributed 10 rebounds and two blocks.
Michael Clark led the Delta Devils (0-13) with 17 points and Shannon Behling added 16.
Chattanooga, which snapped a two-game losing streak, was 23 of 30 from the free-throw line.
