SAN DIEGO (AP) -Lorrenzo Wade scored a season-high 17 points and Ryan Amoroso added 13 to lift San Diego State to a 68-51 win over UC Santa Barbara on Saturday.
Wade came off the bench to hit 6-of-8 shots as he became the 23rd player in school history to score more than 1,000 career points. Wade, who finished with 1,017 points, passed the milestone on a thundering baseline dunk in the second half.
San Diego State (8-3) snapped a two-game losing streak by hitting nearly 53 percent of its shots and holding the Gauchos to less than 44 percent shooting.
Chris Devine scored 18 points to lead UC Santa Barbara (5-6), which made only 3-of-13 3-point attempts.
