CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -Alex Renfroe scored 17 points and sparked a key run in Belmont's 72-62 win over Austin Peay on Monday night.
Renfroe scored four points and had two steals for the Bruins (5-4).
The Governors (5-6) cut the lead to 53-51 with 7:45 left on two free throws by Kyle Duncan. But Belmont used 9-2 run to push its lead to nine points, capped by Renfroe's made free throw. Renfroe score five points and had two assists during the spurt.
Wicke, who finished the game with 11 points, scored six during the run.
Matthew Dotson added 12 points for Belmont and Jon House scored 11.
Drake Reed had 15 points and 14 rebounds rebounds for Austin Peay. Fields chipped in 15 and Wes Channels added 10.
