RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -Justin Harper had 18 points to lead Richmond to a 79-57 victory over Bucknell on Monday night.
The Bison (3-7) hit 6 of their first 10 shots, helping them build a 16-6 lead with 12:16 left in the first half. Justin Castleberry's 3-pointer gave Bucknell a 21-13 lead with 6:13 left.
But the Spiders (6-5) answered with a 16-2 run, forcing five turnovers and holding the Bison to 1-for-8 from the floor during the spurt to claim a 29-23 lead at halftime.
Bucknell pulled within three points on G.W. Boon's 3-pointer with 13:06 left in the second half. But six Richmond players scored during a 20-3 run to give the Spiders a 65-45 lead with 6:22 left.
Boon and Bryant Cohen led Bucknell with 14 points, while Peter Behan had 13 points and a career-high 11 rebounds.
