RICHMOND, Ky. (AP) -Joe Ramey scored 25 points and Indiana-Northwest of the NAIA defeated Eastern Kentucky 74-73 on Monday night.
The Redhawks (6-9) trailed 38-37 at halftime, but took the lead for good on Pete Dunbar's layup that made it 44-42 three minutes into the second.
Indiana-Northwest built its lead to 10 points on a free throw by Jesse Howell with 2:45 left in the game.
The Colonels (7-5) cut the score to 74-73 with 6 seconds left on a Joshua Jones free throw. But Jones missed the second of his two free throws, allowing Indiana-Northwest to seal the win.
Jesse Howell added 18 points for the Redhawks and Pete Trgovich scored 17, including 15 in the first half. Dunbar finished with 11 points and 14 rebounds.
Josh Taylor led the Colonels with 18 points.
