MOREHEAD, Ky. (AP) -Derick Echols scored 15 points and had 10 rebounds in Morehead State's 99-39 victory over Kentucky Christian on Monday night.
Echols was one of six Eagles (4-8) in double figures as Terrance Hill also scored 15, Kenneth Faried and Robert Murry had 14 each and Steve Peterson and Maze Stallworth added 10 apiece.
The Eagles scored 25 points off 20 Kentucky Christian (2-14) turnovers, including six turnovers by Nash Baldwin.
The Knights shot just 28.3 percent from the field (15 of 53) and went 5-for-20 from the 3-point arc.
Morehead State won the battle of the boards, outrebounding Kentucky Christian 56-25 and grabbing 23 offensive rebounds.
Svetomir Illic and Kalen Joes paced the Knights with 16 points each. Illic added 10 boards and three blocks.
