CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -Drake Reed notched a double-double and was one of four Austin Peay players to score in double figures in a 97-61 win against Oakland City on Monday night.
Reed scored 22, grabbed 10 boards and added three assists for the Governors (6-6). Kyle Duncan and Wes Channels scored 13 points apiece and Tyrone Caldwell added 10. Both Duncan, who also had five steals, and Caldwell were 2-for-3 from beyond the arc. Channels went 3-for-4 from long range.
Brandon Hopf scored 17 to lead the Mighty Oaks (5-6), who had a five-game winning streak snapped in defeat. Nathan Schumacher scored 16 and Evan Hutchinson added 10.
The Governors shot 53.6 percent from the field (37 of 69) compared to a 39.1 mark (25 of 64) for the Mighty Oaks. Austin Peay went on a 31-12 run that started with just over 13 minutes on the clock in the first half, and led 50-23 at halftime.
