FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) -Ben Woodside scored 21 points and North Dakota State held off IPFW's second-half rally for a 67-60 Summit League victory Wednesday.
Brett Winkelman added 14 points and 11 rebounds for the visiting Bison (7-4, 2-0 Summit), Mike Nelson added 13 points and Lucas Moorman had 10 points.
David Carson paced IPFW (5-8, 02) with 25 points, including 15 in the second half, and 10 rebounds. Ben Botts added 13 points.
The Bison saw a 34-20 halftime lead dwindle to a single point after Carson scored four straight points on a 3-pointer and a free throw that made it 50-49 with 6:38 left.
Woodside and Nelson responded with 3-pointers and North Dakota State scored 10 of the next 14 points to go up 63-53 on a Woodside layup with 50 seconds left. IPFW never came closer than the final margin after that.
