NEW YORK (AP) -Kyle Johnson scored 19 points to lead Long Island University to a 76-61 victory over Bryant on Wednesday night.
Jaytornah Wisseh added 15 points for the Blackbirds (7-7), while Mike Culpo added 12 and Julian Boyd had 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Peter Lambert led Bryant (2-12) with 18 points and Nick Pontes had 10.
Long Island scored the last six points of the first half and the first nine of the second to take a 38-25 lead on a jumper by Johnson with 17:52 to play.
The Bulldogs, in their first season of a four-year transition into Division I, snapped a nine-game losing streak in their last game with a victory over Yale.
