EASTON, Pa. (AP) -Andrew Brown hit four free throws in the final 25 seconds and finished with 13 points, and 11 Lafayette players contributed scoring in a 69-62 victory over Colgate on Wednesday night.
Freshman Ryan Willen reached double figures for the third straight game, scoring 14 points. Jared Mintz added 12 points and Lafayette (5-11, 1-1 Patriot League) shot 24-for-29 from the line.
Yaw Gyawu led Colgate (5-10, 1-1) with 15 points and Ben Jonson finished with 10.
Brown hit a 3-pointer and a layup to give the Leopards a 55-52 lead with 6:10 remaining. He hit a jumper with less than two minutes remaining to give Lafayette a 61-54 lead, but the Raiders stormed back and cut it to 61-58 when Gyawu dunked with 1:17 remaining.
Brown hit a pair of free throws with 25 seconds left and added another pair with five seconds remaining to seal the victory.
