NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -Wes Channels scored 24 points to lead five Austin Peay players in double figures in a 91-87 win over Tennessee State on Saturday night.
Drake Reed scored 19 points, Anthony Campbell had 13, Tyrone Caldwell 11 and Marcel Williams 10 for the Tigers (5-12, 3-4 Ohio Valley Conference). Williams grabbed nine rebounds and Channels went 5-for-11 from beyond the arc.
Parker Smith led the Governors (10-7, 6-1) with 31 points. Gerald Robinson had 12, Stephen Evans tallied 11 and Jerrell Houston chipped in with 10. Smith went 8-for-12 from 3-point range.
Austin Peay led by one point at halftime and held off Tennessee State in the second half, outscoring the Tigers 44-42.
