VESTAL, N.Y. (AP) -John Holland scored 28 points, 19 of them in the second half, leading Boston University to an 81-64 win over Binghamton in America East play on Saturday.
Boston led 39-35 at the break before taking command early in the second half. Up 47-43 with 16:49 left, the Terriers (7-9, 2-2) went on a 13-0 run that included three-pointers from three different players. Boston led by as many as 24 points before settling on the final 17-point margin.
Corey Lowe added 16 points for Boston, while Jake O'Brien chipped in 10. Boston shot 51 percent from the floor and was 11-of-23 from beyond the arc.
Dwayne Jackson and Moussa Camara led Binghamton (10-7, 3-2) with 13 points apiece. D.J. Rivera and Malik Alvin each added 11 points.
Boston opened the game with a 12-0 run and despite closing to within four at halftime, Binghamton couldn't sustain the momentum.
