CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) -Mike Rose hit a buzzer-beating 3-pointer to give Eastern Kentucky a 74-71 win over Southeast Missouri on Saturday.
Rose had 19 points to lead Eastern Kentucky (10-8, 4-4 Ohio Valley). Also scoring in double digits was Justin Stommes with 17 points, Robin Mestdagh with 13 points and Papa Oppong with 12 points.
Jaycen Herring led Southeast Missouri (3-16, 0-8) with a season-high 25 points.
With 23 second remaining in regulation and his team ahead 71-69, Eastern Kentucky's Josh Taylor missed the front end of a one-and-one. On the next possession, Herring grabbed his own rebound and made a floater in the paint to tie the score at 71-71 with three seconds left. After a time out, Eastern Kentucky passed the ball the length of the court to set up Rose's game winner.
Eastern Kentucky made 14 of 36 3-pointers while Southeast Missouri made just seven of 19.
