KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -Ben Woodside scored a game-high 28 points to lead Summit League leader North Dakota State to a 65-60 overtime victory over Missouri-Kansas City on Saturday.
Woodside had 21 of his points in the last seven minutes of regulation and overtime for the Bison (12-5, 7-1). Woodside also connected on 15 of 16 free throws..
The Kangaroos (6-14, 2-5) had a 48-41 advantage when Woodside took over.
With the game tied 60-60 with a minute to play, Lucas Moorman connected on one free throw, and Woodside and Brett Winkleman had two each in the final minute.
Latreze Mushatt had a career-high 15 points for UMKC. Dane Brumagin added 10 points, including the tying three pointer with 16 seconds left in regulation time to send the game into overtime.
