NACOGDOCHES, Texas (AP) -Matt Kingsley had 18 points and 11 rebounds to lead Stephen F. Austin to a 55-40 victory over Nicholls State on Saturday night.
Josh Alexander scored 15 points, including three 3-pointers, for the Lumberjacks (11-4, 3-0 Southland).
Stephen F. Austin went ahead for good during a 13-2 run for a 20-10 lead with 6:15 left in the first half. Alexander had five points and Kingsley added four during the run.
The Colonels (8-8, 1-2) also had two players reach double digits. Anatoly Bose scored 17, including five 3-pointers, and Ryan Bathie had 12.
The Lumberjacks held Nicholls State to 6-of-17 shooting (35 percent) while taking a 31-15 halftime lead.
