FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) -Erik Kangas hit eight 3-pointers and scored a career-high 39 points Saturday night in Oakland's 93-88 victory over IPFW.
Kangas, whose previous high was 28 against UMKC two years ago, hit 13 of 22 shots, including 8-of-13 from long range.
The Grizzlies (11-9, 4-2 Summit) never trailed and took a 43-32 lead at halftime.
IPFW (7-11, 2-5) closed within 62-59 midway through the second half, but a 3-pointer by Kangas started a 12-2 run that put Oakland in control for good.
Johnathan Jones had 20 points and Will Hudson added 16 for the Grizzlies. Botts led the Mastodons with 22 points, while David Carson had 21 and Nick Daniels added 17.
