FAIRFIELD, Conn. (AP) -Edwin Ubiles scored 16 points to lead Siena in a 78-62 victory over Fairfield on Saturday in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.
The first-place Saints (14-5, 7-0 MAAC) had four players in double figures. Alex Franklin and Kenny Hasbrouck each added 14 points, and Clarence Jackson pitched in with 13.
The Stags (12-7, 5-3) were led by Jonathan Han with 20 points. Greg Nero added 14.
Siena dominated from the onset, racing to a 10-2 lead in the opening five minutes and leading 24-6 with 10:40 remaining in the half.
Fairfield pulled to within four with a 16-6 run to open the second half, but after Han's 3-pointer with 16:09 remaining, the Saints stormed back.
Hasbrouck scored 12 points in the half and Siena led in double figures the final 13-plus minutes of play.
