DALLAS (AP) -Derek Williams scored 17 points to lead Southern Methodist to a 60-51 win over Tulane on Saturday night.
Williams was 6 of 11 from the field, including 2 of 3 from 3-point range. Paul McCoy added 13 points for the Mustangs (6-9, 1-2 Conference USA).
Robinson Louisme scored 19 points to lead the Green Wave (7-10, 1-3). He was 8-of-12 from the field. Kevin Sims scored 10 points.
McCoy, Bamba Fall and Papa Dia had seven rebounds apiece to lead SMU, which outrebounded Tulane 40-29.
The Green Wave was plagued by poor shooting, hitting just 33 percent from the field. SMU shot 54 percent, including 79 percent in the second half.
