SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) -Chase Adams scored 19 points to lead Centenary to an 83-75 win over Missouri-Kansas City on Saturday.
Adams, who shot 4-for-5 from 3-point range, led four Centenary players in double figures. The Gentlemen (7-14, 5-4 Summit League) have now won four straight games after losing nine of their previous 10 contests.
After taking a 34-31 lead into halftime, Centenary hit three 3-pointers in the first four minutes of the second half to take a 46-36 lead. The Kangaroos responded with a 13-2 run to tie the score at 60-60 with 7:05 remaining. But the Gents regained control, thanks to a 15-5 run over the next 5:33 to ice the game.
The Kangaroos (6-16, 2-7) were led by James Humphrey, who scored a career-high 16 points. Spencer Johnson added 14.
Lance Hill scored 18 for Centenary, while Nick Stallings scored 16 and Maxx Nakwaasah added 14.
