HAMMOND, La. (AP) -Josh Alexander scored 14 points to lead Stephen F. Austin to a 60-49 victory over Southeastern Louisiana on Saturday.
Nick Shaw added 13 points and nine rebounds for the Lumberjacks (12-5, 4-1 Southland Conference), who have won five of their past six games.
Stephen F. Austin closed the first half on a 16-5 run to take a 29-18 lead into halftime. The Lumberjacks scored six of the first seven points of the second half for a 35-19 lead with 18:05 left in the game.
Southeastern Louisiana (8-10, 2-3), which suffered its first home loss of the season after seven victories, twice cut the lead to eight but couldn't get closer.
The Lions were 16 of 42 from the field (38.1 percent).
Eddie Williams added 10 points for the Lumberjacks.
Warrell Span scored 14 points and Patrick Sullivan added 13 points for Southeastern Louisiana.
