GRAMBLING, La. (AP) -Tavaris Washington hit a layup with 21 seconds remaining in overtime to lift Arkansas-Pine Bluff to a 62-61 victory over Grambling State on Saturday night.
Grambling's Ibrahim Kpaka missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer, giving the Lions (7-12, 6-2 Southwestern Athletic Conference) their fourth consecutive victory.
The teams traded leads five times in the final 1:35 of overtime. Jarred Riley gave Grambling (5-14, 3-5) a 59-58 lead with 59 seconds left, but Washington dunked to give the Lions a 60-59 advantage with 43 seconds left.
Riley had with another layup for a 61-60 lead with 27 seconds left, setting up Washington's game winner.
Terrance Calvin led Arkansas-Pine Bluff with 18 points and Tyree Glass added 11 points.
Jordan Lemons scored 16 points, Ariece Perkins and Donald Qualls added 12 points each and Riley finished with 11 points.
