CHARLESTON, Ill. (AP) -Romain Martin had 19 points and Tyler Laser added 13 points to lead Eastern Illinois to a 63-60 victory over Jacksonville State on Saturday.
Eastern Illinois (10-11, 7-4 Ohio Valley Conference) led 34-25 going into half time. Jacksonville State (9-11, 3-8 Ohio Valley Conference) came back from the break to outscore the Panthers 35-29 in the second period but it wasn't enough for the win.
Martin had four 3-pointers for the Panthers. Ousmane Cisse had a game-high 13 rebounds, 12 of them on defense, for Eastern Illinois.
Jeremy Bynum led Jacksonville State with 15 points. Jonathan Toles had 14 points and Geddes Robinson added ten points. The Gamecocks had three players with three 3-pointers each: Bynum, Toles and DeAndre Bray.
