RICHMOND, Ky. (AP) -Mike Rose scored 23 points and Justin Stommes added 20 to lead Eastern Kentucky to a 77-59 win over Tennessee State on Saturday night.
The Colonels (13-9, 6-5 Ohio Valley Conference) scored 20 points off of 14 Tennessee State turnovers for their fourth straight home victory.
After leading 33-28 at halftime, Eastern Kentucky shot 57.1 percent in the second half (16 of 28) to outscore Tennessee State 44-31 in the half.
Josh Taylor and Papa Oppong scored 10 points each for the Colonels. Rose added seven points, five assists and three steals.
The Tigers (6-15, 4-7) hit just 25 percent of their 3-point attempts (4 of 16), including 2 of 19 in the second half.
Jerrell Houston scored 16 points for the Tigers and Parker Smith and Darius Cox added 10 points each.
