DURHAM, N.H. (AP) -Colin McIntosh and Mike Trimboli each had 16 points as Vermont crushed New Hampshire 83-39 Saturday to remain in first place in America East with its seventh straight victory.
Leading 37-28 early in the second half, the Catamounts (16-6, 7-2) outscored the Wildcats 26-2 over the next 8:44. McIntosh hit all of his points after intermission as Vermont outscored the Wildcats 52-17 in the second half.
The Catamounts shot 54.5 percent for the game, while limiting the Wildcats to 24 percent (12-for-50).
Tyrone Conley scored 10 points to lead New Hampshire (8-12, 3-5).
The 39 points given up by the Catamounts were the fewest since they defeated Colgate 37-34 in the 1984-85 season. The 44-point margin of victory was the most for Vermont since it defeated Hartford 89-45 in January 2005.
