LONG BEACH, Calif. (AP) -Vince Oliver scored 33 points to lead UC Davis to a 82-76 win over Long Beach State on Thursday.
Oliver made 9 of 16 shots and 12 of 14 free throws as the Aggies (10-12, 5-4 Big West Conference) snapped an eight-game losing streak to the 49ers (11-10, 6-3).
The game was tied 66-66 with under three minutes left before Davis scored on its final nine possessions. Oliver made a 3-pointer and seven free throws in the final 62 seconds.
TJ Robinson scored 24 points and pulled down 12 rebounds for the 49ers. Larry Anderson added 18 points and 10 rebounds.
Joe Harder had 18 points and eight rebounds for the Aggies.
Davis went on a 16-1 run midway through the first half to build a 21-13 lead. Long Beach State countered with a 11-2 run and trailed 31-30 at halftime.
