NEW YORK (AP) -Terence Grier's 3-pointer at the overtime buzzer gave Fairleigh Dickinson a 59-57 victory over Wagner on Thursday night, the Seahawks' sixth straight loss.
The Knights (6-17, 5-7 Northeast Conference) led 49-33 with 10:08 to play when Wagner (10-12, 3-9) went on a 16-0 run to tie the game and force overtime.
Jamal Smith's layup with 15 seconds remaining made it 49-49 and capped the big run. Eric Moore of the Knights missed a 3-point attempt at the regulation buzzer.
Alvin Mofunyana's layup 30 seconds into overtime ended the Knights' 10:38 scoring drought and made it 51-49. Smith's two free throws started an 8-1 run that gave the Seahawks a 57-52 lead.
FDU closed the game on a 7-0 run, capped by Grier?s game-winner.
Mofunyana, Moore and Sean Baptiste all scored 13 points for the Knights.
Justin Drummond had 15 points for Wagner and Joey Mundweiler added 11.
