MACOMB, Ill. (AP) -Brett Winkelman scored 19 points to lead North Dakota State to a 61-52 win over Western Illinois on Thursday night.
Michael Tveidt came off the bench to add 11 points for North Dakota State (17-5 11-1, Summit League), which won its ninth straight.
The Bison led 23-17 at halftime. A 15-4 run at the start of the second half put the game out of reach.
North Dakota State led by as much as 21 points before Western Illinois (7-16, 4-8) closed the gap.
Ceola Clark led Western Illinois with 19 points. David Dubois added 17 points and Tommie Tyler scored 12 points off the bench for the Leathernecks.
The Leathernecks' David Nurse and North Dakota State's Tveidt both fouled out.
The Bison beat the Leathernecks 81-64 when the teams played in Fargo, N.D., on Jan. 10.
