KENNESAW, Ga. (AP) -Jon-Michael Nickerson scored 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Kennesaw State to a 69-65 overtime victory over North Florida on Saturday night.
Nickerson also had four assists, three steals and three blocks to lead his team in all five statistical categories. Kelvin McConnell chipped in with 18 points for the Owls (7-15, 3-10 Atlantic Sun Conference). Spencer Dixon added 10.
The Ospreys (5-18, 3-10) were paced by Eni Cuka, who scored 20. Stan Januska added 14, and Cortez Riley finished with 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Kennesaw State shot 48.1 percent from the field (25-for-52), including 45 percent from 3-point range (9-for-20). The Owls were outrebounded 34-25, but forced 16 turnovers by North Florida.
The win broke a five-game losing streak for Kennesaw State.
