DES MOINES, Iowa. (AP) -Osiris Eldridge scored a game-high 14 points and added 10 rebounds to lead Illinois State to a 67-45 victory against Drake on Sunday night.
The Redbirds (21-5, 10-5 Missouri Valley Conference) have won three straight on the road and are in third place in the conference, two games back of first-place Northern Iowa and a game behind Creighton.
Jonathan Cox led Drake (15-12, 6-9) with 11 points and Josh Young finished with 10.
Landon Shipley scored eight points in the first four minutes to help Illinois State jump out to a 12-2 lead. Illinois State had a 13-point halftime lead and extended that cushion to 29 points in the second half.
Emmanuel Holloway added 11 points and six assists for the Redbirds.
