CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -Joel Lamb scored 17 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in Charleston Southern's 63-59 win over Coastal Carolina on Thursday night.
After trailing 37-36 with 12:43 to go, Charleston Southern (9-19, 4-13 Big South Conference) went on an 11-3 run to take a 47-40 lead on a tip-in by Lamb with 8:46 to play.
Tovi Bailey scored 15 points and Omar Carter and Jamarco Warren chipped in 11 each for the Buccaneers, who pulled into a tie with High Point for the eighth and final spot in Tuesday's Big South Conference Tournament.
Joseph Harris had 12 points and 12 rebounds for the Chanticleers (11-18, 5-12) and Mario Edwards added 13 points.
Charleston Southern won the rebounding battle 36-32 as Omar Carter tallied nine boards.
Coastal Carolina shot just 38.5 percent from the free-throw line (5 of 13).
