CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -Drake Reed scored 28 points and Austin Peay defeated Eastern Illinois 69-54 on Thursday night.
Austin Peay (16-12, 12-5 Ohio Valley Conference) forced 15 Panthers' turnovers and won the rebounding battle 31-27.
The Governors extended their lead to as many as 17, 69-52 when Wes Channels hit a free throw with 1:45 left in the game.
Anthony Campbell added 11 points for Austin Peay, which also won the earlier meeting between the two teams, 81-73 on Dec. 6.
Eastern Illinois (12-16, 8-9) was paced by Romain Martin with 14 points and T.J. Marion with 13.
The Panthers shot just 10 percent form 3-point range (1 of 10), while the Governors were 6-for-13 (46.2 percent).
