JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (AP) -Courtney Pigram had 16 points and seven assists to lead East Tennessee State in an 81-46 rout of Kennesaw State on Thursday night.
Pigram, who was back in the starting line-up after a shooting slump, scored 10 points in the first half for the Buccaneers (19-10, 13-6 Atlantic Sun Conference), who led 34-25 at the break.
ETSU, battling for a No. 1 or No. 2 seed in the league tournament, then blew the game open. The Buccaneers held the Owls (7-21, 3-16) to just 6-of-30 shooting (20 percent) in the second half, including 3 of 16 from 3-point range, while making 16 of 33 field goals (48.5 percent).
ETSU outrebounded Kennesaw State 47-31 and forced 21 turnovers on 12 steals.
Jarvis Jones matched a career-high with 13 points for the Buccaneers, while Adam Sollazzo and Kevin Tiggs had 11 apiece.
Kurtis Woods paced the Owls with 12 points.
