BALTIMORE (AP) -Ryan Thompson scored 19 points, including a game-winning basket with 1 second left to lead Rider to a 77-75 win over Loyola-Maryland on Thursday night.
The Broncs (17-11, 11-6 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) trailed by 13 at halftime, but pulled ahead 58-57 after Justin Robinson scored eight points in just over four minutes midway through the second half.
The game stayed close the rest of the way, and Harris Mansell pulled Rider even at 73-all on a 3-pointer with 2:50 left to play. Baskets by Thompson and the Greyhounds' Brian Rudolph kept it tied with 1:28 remaining. The Greyhounds (11-19, 6-11) wouldn't score again.
Rudolph missed his shot to put the Greyhounds ahead with four seconds left and Robinson grabbed the rebound, setting up Thompson's winning shot.
Robinson finished with 15 points for Rider.
Rudolph led the Loyola with 19.
