WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) -Muhammed El-Amin had a game-high 21 points to lead Stony Brook 62-40 over Hartford Thursday night.
It was Hartford's 13th-straight loss.
El-Amin also had six rebounds, and hit 3-of-7 three-point shots.
Demetrius Young (15 points) and Bryan Dougher (12 points) also helped Stony Brook (16-12, 8-7 America East). Tommy Brenton led the Seawolves with nine rebounds.
Jaret von Rosenberg led Hartford (6-24, 2-13) with 14 points, and teammate Michael Tuner had seven points and 11 rebounds.
Stony Brook opened the game on a 16-5 run, and never relinquished the lead, which it extended to 23 points with 4:10 remaining in the contest.
The Seawolves out-rebounded the Hawks 41-28, and shot 43.8 percent from the field while holding Hartford to 28.6 percent. Hartford made just 5-of-27 three-point field goals, and has not won since Jan. 14.
