EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) -James Haarsma scored a career-high 22 points Wednesday night to lead Evansville to a 76-46 victory over SIU-Edwardsville.
Haarsma, a sophomore, made 10 of his 14 shots and grabbed 12 rebounds. Colt Ryan scored 14 points for the Aces (2-0), Denver Holmes had 11 and Bryan Bouchie 10. Troy Taylor contributed 12 rebounds and six assists for Evansville, which raced to a 20-4 lead and led 43-21 at halftime. The Aces shot 49 percent in the game.
Mark Yelovich had 11 points and seven rebounds for the Cougars (0-3), who were outrebounded 49-24.
