CONWAY, S.C. (AP) - Joseph Harris scored 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Coastal Carolina past Vorhees 99-56 on Saturday.
Harris became the 16th player in Coastal Carolina history to reach 1,000 points for his career on a free throw with 18:35 left to play.
The Chanticleers, who shot 58.1 percent from the field (36-for-62), started the season 3-1 for the first time since 1993-94.
Coastal Carolina's Logan Johnson scored 13 points and Kierre Greenwood finished with 12. Chanticleers' reserves Chad Gray and Dexter Moore added 19 and 16 points, respectively, as Coastal Carolina outscored the Vorhees bench 53-10.
Coastal Carolina led by as many as 47 points, 91-44, on a tip-in by Danny Nieman with 3:27 remaining in the game.
Larry Bacon scored 13 points and Willie Waters added 12 to lead the Tigers (0-5).
