GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) -Marcus Carson scored a game-high 22 points and Alfonzo McNeal added 15 as Mayville State, an NAIA school, defeated North Dakota 73-61 Tuesday night.
The Comets (6-5) are now 3-31 all-time against the Fighting Sioux (1-9).
Carson and McNeal each finished with nine rebounds as Mayville State won the battle of the boards 41-23.
Travis Bledsoe scored a season-high 20 points for North Dakota, and Chris Clausen had 14.
The Comets led 37-33 at halftime and hit 9-of-21 3-pointers. The Fighting Sioux were 4 of 15 from long range.
