TULSA, Okla. (AP) -Jerome Jordan had 22 points and 12 rebounds and Ben Uzoh scored 17 as Tulsa's two senior stars paced an 86-49 thumping of Chicago State on Saturday night.
Freshman Bryson Pope scored a career-high 14 points and Justin Hurtt added 11 for the Hurricane (9-1). Damian Windham and Antonio Lofton led the Cougars(3-7) with 12 points each.
All five Tulsa starters scored in the first 2:45 as the Hurricane jumped to a 12-2 lead. Tulsa led 42-23 at halftime.
Jordan, a 7-foot center, dominated inside in the second half. He scored Tulsa's first seven points, and his rebound slam with 6:00 left made it 71-43.
Chicago State shot just 31.8 percent (21 of 66) and made 1 of 17 3-pointers. The Cougars had 11 shots blocked, four by Joe Richard and three by Jordan.
Tulsa shot 53.7 percent (29 of 54) and had a 45-36 rebounding advantage.
