BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) -Maurice Creek had 29 points to lead the Indiana Hoosiers in an 81-58 victory over North Carolina Central on Saturday night.
Creek, a 6-foot-5 guard, finished 12 of 17 from the field, including five 3-pointers, and grabbed seven rebounds. He entered the game as the Big Ten's top freshman scorer at 17.3 points per game. He scored a career high 31 in a loss to No. 3 Kentucky on Dec. 12.
Christian Watford had 11 points and Tom Pritchard scored eight for the Hoosiers (5-5), who moved within a game of their win total from last season. Indiana has two games left before its Big Ten Conference opener against Michigan Dec. 31.
C.J. Wilkerson led the Eagles (2-9) with 22 points.
