HONOLULU (AP) -Jared Quayle scored 13 points and grabbed seven rebounds and Pooh Williams added 12 points to lead Utah State to a 61-50 victory over Hawaii on Thursday night.
The Aggies (23-6, 12-2 Western Athletic Conference) won their 13th straight game, while the Rainbow Warriors (9-18, 2-11) dropped their ninth in a row.
Hawaii's last lead came late in the first half at 17-16, but Tai Wesley's two free throws gave Utah State the lead for good with 5:34 until intermission. The Aggies used a 10-run in the closing minutes to take 25-17 lead at halftime.
Utah State took its largest lead at 59-44 with 48 seconds left after Williams made an easy transition layup.
Hiram Thompson led Hawaii with 13 points. Hawaii was 6 of 12 on 3-pointers but just 8 of 16 from the free throw line. Utah State shot 43.8 percent (21 of 48) from the field.
