RENO, Nev. (AP) - Caleb Patterson scored 17 points to lead Missouri State over Nevada 68-46 on Friday night.
Anthony Downing had 12 points and Nathan Scheer 11 for the Bears (1-0).
Kevin Panzer scored 10 points to lead the Wolf Pack (0-1), which shot 13 of 50 from the field, including 5 of 25 from 3-point range.
The Bears used a 27-8 run over the first 10 minutes of the second half to put the game away. Nevada had only one field goal during the stretch.
Missouri State led 31-24 at halftime, sparked by Patterson's 14 points.
The Bears trailed 13-11 with 9:42 left in the first half, but hit four consecutive 3-pointers as part of a 19-5 run to lead 30-18 with 2:08 before intermission.
