JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) - Velton Jones scored 19 points, hitting four 3-pointers, as Robert Morris used a strong second half to pull away from Saint Peter's in a 69-52 win Tuesday night.
The Colonials (2-0), who led 31-29 at the break, opened the second half on a 17-5 run, capped by 3-pointers by Anthony Myers and Coron Williams.
Robert Morris made 10 of 17 from beyond the arc for the game (58.8 percent) and shot 23 of 46 from the field (50 percent).
The Colonials, who opened a five-game road swing, hit 11 of 26 3-pointers in their season-opening 83-57 win over Rider.
Williams added 13 points for Robert Morris, while Russell Johnson scored 11 and Lijah Thompson 10.
Karee Ferguson, Lamin Fulton and Yvon Raymond paced the Peacocks (0-2) with 10 points each.
Saint Peter's made 19 of 44 field goals (43.2 percent), but hit only 8 of 19 free throws (42.1 percent).
