CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - Mike Groselle tallied a double-double, scoring 19 points and pulling down 11 rebounds, to lead The Citadel in a 97-44 rout of Division II Florida Christian College on Monday night.
Barry Smith also added 19 points for the Bulldogs (2-2), who shot 55.4 percent (36 of 65) from the floor compared to just a 29.6 mark (16 of 54) for Florida Christian. Ashton Moore added 11 points and C.J. Bray had 10.
After Florida Christian got on the board first, Smith's 3-pointer started a 22-6 run by The Citadel that put the game out of reach early. The Bulldogs led by 37 points at the break and outscored the Suns 39-23 in the second half to seal it.
Montique Lynch led the Suns, who counted the game as an exhibition, with 15 points.
