LEWISBURG, Pa. (AP) - Mike Muscala scored 25 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as Bucknell defeated Princeton 62-56 Friday night.
Muscala had a layup and two free throws during a 10-2 run by the Bison (3-2) that gave them a 56-46 lead with 2:16 to play in the TicketCity Legends Classic subregional game they were hosting.
The Tigers (1-4) trimmed Bucknell's lead to 58-53 with 1:06 to go, but Muscala's two free throws at the 38-second mark restored the lead to seven points.
Bucknell took an early 10-2 lead, but Princeton scored the next 13 points for a 15-10 lead with 9:17 left in the first half. John Comfort hit two 3-pointers during that run.
The Bison outshot the Tigers 57.1 percent (12 of 21) to 37 percent (10 of 27) in the second half.
Ian Hummer led Princeton with 13 points and 10 rebounds, Comfort added 11 points and Ben Hazel scored 10.
