BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) - Xavier Blount scored 19 points to lead seven players in double figures as Montana State defeated Willamette 109-64 on Wednesday night.
Blount hit 8 of 11 shots, including all three of his 3-point attempts, for the Bobcats (5-3). Jamie Stewart added 15 points, followed by Mohammed Fall (13), Michael Dison and Shawn Reid (12 each), and Tre Johnson and Christian Moon (10 each).
Taylor Mounts and Joseph Jackson had 11 points apiece for Willamette (1-7), a Division III school. Sean Dart and Trevor Bos each had 10. Mounts also had 10 rebounds.
Montana State led 46-32 at halftime before nearly doubling the Bearcats' point total in the second half - 63 to 32.
The Bobcats shot 54 percent from the field (38 for 71), 48 percent from beyond the arc (10 for 21) and 68 percent from the free-throw line (23 for 34) while outrebounding Willamette 53-34.
