LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - Francisco Cruz scored 14 points to lead Wyoming over Sioux Falls 62-54 on Friday night.
JayDee Luster added 13 and Luke Martinez 11 for the Cowboys (11-1), who have won nine in a row for the first time since 2002-03.
Skyler Bloch scored 21 for Sioux Falls (3-7), a Division II team, while Keith Cutler had 11 and Derek Brown 10.
Cruz scored nine points over 4 minutes to spark the sluggish Cowboys to a 49-46 lead with 7:03 left. Then Martinez broke the eighth and final tie with a putback, while his 3-pointer moments later put the Cowboys up 54-49 with 3:26 to play.
Wyoming made only four of its first 20 shots and was outrebounded 41-20 but forced 21 turnovers while committing only five.
Sioux Falls held Wyoming scoreless for nearly 11 minutes in the first half and led 25-20 at the break.
