NATCHITOCHES, La. (AP) - William Mosley scored 15 points and Northwestern State routed NAIA's Missouri Valley 85-39 on Saturday.
It was the fewest points allowed by the Demons and the biggest margin of victory since a 97-37 win over Belhaven on Dec. 18, 1998.
James Hulbin added 13 points and Shamir Davis had 12 for the Demons (6-5), who shot 52.4 percent (33 of 63) for the game.
Northwestern State outscored the Vikings 40-4 in the paint and 37-7 in points off turnovers. The Vikings, who counted the game as an exhibition, committed 27 turnovers and shot only 24 percent from the field (12 of 50).
The Demons started the game on a 17-4 run on their way to a 42-18 halftime lead. Northwestern State opened the second half with an 18-5 burst as the lead grew to 60-23 with 13:21 remaining. The lead never dipped below 37 points the rest of the way.
