ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - Jakob Gollon scored 12 points and Travis Smith added 11 for Mercer in a 65-56 win over Navy on Friday night.
The Bears (9-6) battled back from a two-point halftime deficit and trailed 34-30 less than four minutes into the second half, before putting together what would be the game-winning run. Mercer's Langston Hall and Gollon hit back-to-back jumpers to spark a 13-6 spree, and the Bears led the rest of the way.
The Bears shot 66.7 percent from the field (24 of 36), including a 50 percent mark from 3-point range (5 of 10) in the win. The Midshipmen were just 38 percent shooters (19 of 50), including a 25 percent mark from long range (5 of 20).
Jordan Sugars had a game-high 21 points to lead Navy (3-10).
