BEAUMONT, Texas (AP) - Devon Lamb had 15 points to lead seven Lamar players scoring in double figures in a 102-58 victory against Lyon College on Saturday.
Vincenzo Nelson added 13 points and Donley Minor and Charlie Harper 12 each as all 12 players who saw action scored for the Cardinals (9-5).
The game against Lyon College, a NAIA school in Batesville, Ark., that classified the contest as an exhibition, was a reprieve for a Lamar squad coming off three straight road dates - the last two against second-ranked Ohio State and No. 3 Kentucky.
Devonte Young scored 20 points and C.J. Blount had 16 points and seven rebounds for the Scots, whose record remained 6-4.
Lyon was within 26-18 with 8:20 remaining in the first half, but Nelson and Brandon Davis hit consecutive 3-pointers, and Lamar was off and running. The Cardinals led 49-28 at halftime.
